A proud native New Yorker, Donohue has received critical acclaim for her fearless performances in film, television and theater. She has worked with a remarkable list of award-winning directors, including Barry Levinson, Sam Mendes, Jason Moore, James Burrows, Stan Lathan and Paul Feig. Donohue stars in the cable comedy You’re The Worst, in which she plays the substance-abusing and promiscuous Lindsay Jillian. Donohue was featured in Pitch Perfect and starred in the thriller The Bay, directed by Barry Levinson. She will next be seen in the upcoming musical comedy One Shot, opposite Topher Grace and Taye Diggs. A graduate of Fordham University with a concentration in film, Donohue has also co-produced several movies in which she has starred, including Over the GW. After making its world premiere at Slamdance Film Festival, Over the GW had a limited theatrical release and was used to promote social change when it was cited in a United States Congressional Hearing on Child Abuse and Deceptive Marketing by Residential Programs for Teens. She went on to co-produce and star in the indie sci-fi thriller, Altered States of Plaine; write, direct and star in the short film, The Babydaddy, an autobiographical narrative about the relationship between a 16-year-old girl and her ill Vietnam veteran father; and co-produce and star in the short Aaron Bacon. Honing her craft in the New York theater, Donohue made her Off-Broadway debut at Ensemble Studio Theatre with a lead role in Taylor Mac’s Okay, and starred in Kate McGovern’s Blue Before Morning.
Donohue currently resides in Los Angeles.
